July: Company Pages - Not Dead But Definitely Buried
Gods above! No seriously, whoever is in charge of the sun and thunder, I want a word about the past month!
We all turned into molten puddles and then got hit with storms!
It’s not on.
I just want to talk……… I just want to talk………
So, to help you all stay cool, here’s the latest newsletter with the info you need to make sure your marketing doesn’t melt.
Not Dead But Definitely Buried
Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to mourn the loss of company pages.
They haven’t gone anywhere, they’re just buried.
The algorithm has buried them.
This is no great surprise to anyone on LinkedIn, but there is a harsh truth we need to finally accept.
The Data Doesn’t Lie
Look at the data.
Organic reach for company pages is currently hovering around 2%.
Two. Percent.
You are practically whispering into a void while wearing a soundproof helmet in a cave, underground, with no one around for 50 miles.
LinkedIn has made one thing abundantly clear.
LinkedIn is a platform for people.
No faceless companies, no big logos, but actual people.
A professional platform for professionals to connect on a human level.
Personal profiles are currently generating five to ten times the engagement of company pages.
UP TO 10X THE ENGAGEMENT!
Why? Because the algorithm prioritises human connection. From actual people. Not bots.

How Deep Can You Go?
Get your mind out of the gutter!
LinkedIn has rolled out the "Depth Score".
Basically, it’s a “how long did they take reading your content” score.
Are they leaving a thoughtful, multi-sentence comment?
Are they saving it for later?
Are they sharing it in private messages?
Notice none of the above says anything about likes or “great post”.
Saves, shares, and actual conversations give you depth. And the deeper your audience gets, the more satisfied they should be.

Are company pages completely useless?
No. They still have value.
They aren't dead. Just buried.
You just need to use it differently.
It needs to look sharp.
It needs to have the correct information, a solid banner, and a clear tagline.
It’s absolutely essential for running ads.
But it’s main purpose is making sure that when people look at your company, everything is fresh, up to date, and has proof you are doing what you say you do.
We’re not going back
Stop trying to resuscitate your company page's organic reach.
It’s not coming back.
Prioritise your own page and bolster it with your company page.
Lean into the people who make your company great, invest in their personal pages too.
Give them the freedom to speak and thrive.
The Social Update
LinkedIn has a new brew
The algorithm really has changed. And now it’s not guesswork. LinkedIn quietly replaced its thousands of ranking models with a single, massive AI system called 360Brew.
Using AI it looks at ALL of your content and engagement. It audits your entire profile for credibility before deciding where it’s going to show your content.

Most significantly, it’s prioritising “Save” as a metric as well as “Send” in the DMs.
Likes are essentially meaningless now. Data from early 2026 shows that a "Save" drives 5x more reach than a like.
Make save worthy content alongside content great for comment engagement to provide the best balance for your business.
Original Content or Bust
Instagram has officially expanded its original content protections. They are actively hunting down and suppressing aggregator accounts and unoriginal content.
So reposting, resharing, or watermarked TikTok exports means you will likely see your reach plummet like a stone and your content not appear to potential customers.
Original content, however, now gets a 40% to 60% distribution boost, which obviously means more new eyeballs on your content.
The Team Updates
Jem
Jem hit everyone in the feels this month.
She took the brave step to truly be vulnerable online, sharing her not so happy beginnings to her life.
The newspaper clippings make for horrific reading so will keep them off here, but thankfully, people are wonderful.
She has been inundated with gifts and flowers and messages of love and support for her bravery.

Speaking of bravery, her nervousness around another speaking gig was completely unfounded as she smashed her talk about Social and AI!

Not only this she has taken greater efforts to get out and about and has been walking in the glorious British countryside so if you spot her, don’t forget to say hi.

Aside from the usual meet and greets with friends she has decided to gallivant off to Scotland as an early birthday treat for Charlie’s birthday.

Also, NO SPA this month. I was truly flabbergasted and I will be checking to make sure she hasn’t been replaced by a duplicate.
Sarah B
“I’m boring!”
That’s what she said.
Yet Sarah B has had a fantastic month and July is shaping up to be equally as incredible.
For a start, she has survived her first year as an independent shark!!
Surviving your first solo year is an incredible achievement and milestone for anyone and we can’t think of anyone more deserving than Sarah.

And the latest sharky development? She’s created a clothing line for the sharks!

So in between jumping in the sea, working her butt off, designing clothes, she has booked a regular sushi and whisky night with a friend (where my invite has got to, I have no idea).
On top of this her creative muscles are ebing flexed with these incredible drawings and watercolours.

Sarah A
Sarah has admitted her life recently has revolved around work, family, and sleep.
And frankly, I for one, am here for that sentiment.
Hanging around with such wonderful friends, family, and dogs, it’s a good life.

Freddie
The resident Squirrel has been focusing on the list of DIY/nesting projects ready for Baby Squirrel’s arrival.
Not easy to do when you have a toddler and full time work.
So there’s been plenty of hammering, drilling, and the occasional swearing when something hasn’t gone right.
But, progress is being made!
Summing Up
All in all, it’s been a great month for the Jems and despite the heat and storms, we have persevered and helped all of our clients see great success.
If you’re not convinced, why not talk to Jem and see for yourself the magic and passion that you can be a part of.
